Note from the APA President

This summer the weather was hot, but now many of us have family and friends that are dealing with and facing much more than simply heat.  Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have raised the bar on records that didn't need to be raised, and will be challenging those that live and work in its path for some time to come.  On behalf of APA, I wish to extend our thoughts and prayers to the victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma.  Hopefully, the day will come soon when these difficult times are just a footnote in history.

*The Jim Boyce Memorial Scholarship was established by the Accessibility Professionals Association (APA), to honor and recognize our friend and colleague Jim Boyce. Jim was formerly a Plan Review Manager with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and was one of the drafters of the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), in 1994. When Jim retired from TDLR, he became a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) and was among the Charter Members of APA. The success of APA is in large part due to Jim’s leadership in its earlier years.
